The battle in the city
A sci-fi, battle, that I drew over a few days, I wanted to challenge myself as i don't normally include backgrounds, I also wanted to practice my line-work as well as lighting.
I'm having trouble getting the right look with clothing and materials. I'd appreciate any feedback/advice going forward.
I've included the layers as separate images to see the process.

Final with draft lines, human, robot, and weapon shading are on their own layers.
Background additional layer, ships and sun are on separate layers.
Base colour of all characters and weapons plus environment.
